6. You realize you have value to offer: This is significant. Most of us are our own worst critique and nothing more. We do not realize the incredible value we can offer by our “basic” knowledge. Blogging blows that myth out of the water and proves you this fact through clear examples.
7. You get ideas upon ideas upon ideas: I never knew there is such a vast ocean of ideas and creativity flowing through me. I should have – if I listened to beloved Rumi: “A wealth you cannot imagine runs through you.”, he tells us, but it can get blocked by the everyday mundane, stressful, undesirable acts that we have to perform. Well, blogging unleashes it and those ideas can be worth money, baby!
8. You become conscious of your choices: You start to ask interesting questions and take more decisive actions. Questions like, what the hell am I doing with my life at this bloody job? (Maybe that was just me
) Or I wonder if I can do something fun and exciting for a living and still make money at it? Can it be possible that I work for myself? Maybe I can write a book? Why not create my own products? Can I possibly even have my own brand and spread my message to help others in a fulfilling way?
9. You get big and dreams start to look possible: If you keep at it, if you blog from the heart, if you are consistent, if you don’t neglect your blog as you wouldn’t do your child or your puppy (I hope!), and if you are true to yourself, you cannot help but grow, and get big. You attract your readers and traffic like a magnet, and you will be surprised just how accessible your dreams can be if only you stick with it.
So that’s your quick nugget of wisdom for today. I will save the other 1001 reasons for having your own blog for another day. For now, remember that there’s never been a better time to start your own business, to set your own path, to share your message of hope or love or joy through your creative desires, through your technical abilities, through your educational background or training. All of that can show up in a blog and it can be your key to unlock your freedom.
If you want more nuggets of Business and Career Strategy wisdom, ideas on side-hustles while you are in corporate or help with exit strategy or tips to thrive at a corporate job, hop on the list below right away:
