The moonlight shone between the trees as Athena , Odysseus and Hercules travelled onwards through the swamp , as they walked further into the swamp Athena sensed a presence. "Something is here" said Athena as she drew her sword and turned around , Odysseus drew his sword as Hercules looked around , a few moments later Hercules suddenly vanished in a white light , "Hercules!" Said Odysseus , "what happened?" Said Athena
"Hercules just vanished in a white light" said Odysseus as he moved towards Athena , Odysseus and Athena stood back to back as a figure began to emerge from the shadows. "Show yourself coward!" Said Odysseus , a moment later a woman stood in front of them , her long black hair shimmering in the moonlight as her purple dress flowed in the wind , "what have you done with Hercules!" Said Odysseus , "I have done nothing to Hercules" said the woman.
"Who are you?!" Said Odysseus , "her name is Nyx , she is another goddess" said Athena , "what do you want?" Said Odysseus , "I want to be ruler of Olympus" said Nyx. "That will not happen" said Odysseus as he pointed his sword towards her , "I am the queen of the god's now Nyx" said Athena , "yes I have heard , you are to weak to lead the god's" said Nyx as her purple eyes glimmered in the moonlight , then suddenly Nyx attacked Athena.
Nyx pushed Odysseus out of the way and onto the ground as she swung her staff towards Athena , Nyx's staff collided with Athena's sword and sent a shockwave through the swamp. Suddenly Odysseus stood up and thrust his sword towards Nyx and cut her arm , "ahh you annoying little mortal" said Nyx as she continued to attack Athena , Nyx fired an energy blast towards Odysseus , a moment later the energy blast hit Odysseus sending him through the mid air and crashed into a tree.
Odysseus dropped his sword and became unconscious...."Odysseus!!" Shouted Athena , power surged through Athena's veins as she attacked Nyx. Her sword flashed against Nyx's staff once again sending multiple shockwaves through the swamp , "you shall not have my throne" said Athena as she punched Nyx in the jaw and knocked her down , Nyx swiftly got back on her feet and swung her staff around in a frenzy , Athena defended herself as her power continued to surge through her body.
A few moments later Athena unleashed a devastating blast of electrical energy and fired it towards Nyx , "ahhhh!!" Screamed Nyx as Athena's energy blast struck her. Nyx held onto her staff as she crouched down in the mud , suddenly Athena's eyes began to glow and dark clouds blocked out the moonlight , thunder began to rumble and lightning began to flash amongst the dark clouds , "no do not do it , mercy...mercy.." said Nyx.
"You do not deserve mercy..." Said Athena as she summoned a lightning bolt , suddenly an enormous lightning bolt burst from the clouds and struck Nyx. "Ahhh!!" Screamed Nyx as the lightning bolt electrocuted her , "traitors deserve death.." said Athena as she continued to electrocute Nyx with the lightning bolt , Nyx begged for her to stop as the electricity burned through her body , suddenly a flash of golden light appeared in front of Athena.
Zeus stood before her and watched her deliver punishment to Nyx , Zeus stood there in silence and looked at Athena , she looked back at him and then made the lightning bolt disappear. As the dark clouds faded away and the moonlight shone over the swamp Nyx collapsed into the mud , "knowing when to stop is key to being a good leader" said Zeus , moments later Athena banished Nyx to her domain and ran towards Odysseus.
Odysseus regained consciousness , "ugh what happened" he said as he shook his head a little , "Nyx attacked you , I have banished her back to her domain" said Athena as she helped Odysseus onto his feet. , "where is Hercules" said Odysseus , "I can tell you that" said Zeus , "oh so it was you that made Hercules disappear" said Athena , "yes I sent him to Athens to complete a task for me" said Zeus , moments later Zeus had vanished back to Mount Olympus.
"It is time I returned home" said Odysseus , "Very well my love" said Athena and kissed his cheek , Athena used her power's and transported Odysseus back to his home in Ithaca. A few minutes later Athena travelled onwards through the swamp until she reached the hill , as she stood atop the hill she saw a small harbour town around the edge of the coast , Athena walked onwards down the hill and through the olive tree orchard towards the town.
