We met at the party.
I gazed around, all i see are faces of unfamiliar,
we just moved in couple of weeks ago.
I saw you seated at the corner.
I admit, i am not into crowded rooms
but as we began to introduce ourselves
our talks just become nonstop.
Like we’ve known each other
for a long time
The next day,
a notification popped
Its you, and the moment I followed back
everything’s changed.
You asked my favourite food.
Especially about coffee too.
One evening, you told me you’re outside
I remembered “I got you a coffee”
Somehow I become hysterical,
but its the favourite coffee of mine.
What a cute gesture it was.
Everyday i got good morning
and goodnight
and a response that has no gap.
I sighed, as I pen this down
You probably wouldn’t seen this one
Life has a funny way to make us feel giddy
and most importantly
constantly reminds us
that even if the person you want
doesn’t appreciates you
Some gentleman eventually will.
