Stop Food Waste Day is an international day of action in the fight against food waste which is a serious and growing problem. Roughly one-third of the food produced globally is either lost or wasted every year.

Food waste has become a severe epidemic across the world due to a lack of understanding of how to effectively use food and conserve it. Food waste, however, can be stopped.

Stop Food Waste Day aims to change the statistics of food waste, continuing to decrease it over time. Eventually, the holiday hopes to help those in need get the food they need

World Stationery Day belongs to National Stationery Week in April. Last Wednesday of every April is chosen as World Stationery Day.

This year the last wednesday of April alls on 27th April 2002 and hence it is observed today as World Stationery Day on 27th April 2022

All emails, text messages, and other types relating transmit messages around us today are considered as the art of writing letters and cards. After all, who wants to wait days, if not weeks, to get some hard-to-read words scribbled on a piece of paper, when it would be so much easier to just read an email?

But sending and receiving mail is more than just exchanging information. It's about someone who decides to put in the extra time and effort to actually write words on a piece of paper. Moreover, there is the hassle of making that trip to the post office and potentially having to wait in a long line to finally have it shipped.

That's right. It's about someone deciding to put in all that effort and spend a few cents on postage just to make their message personal and personal. And it makes a lot of sense. It is so interesting that you receive a handwritten letter, a card or even a postcard in the mailbox.

That's the purpose of World Stationery Day: preserving the art of lettering on the page, rather than just sending electronic versions of letters that can't be actually touched but only seen on a screen.
