Depression
Doesn't always makes person sad

  • Sometimes, depression looks like laughter. A person may make everyone laugh while privately feeling emotionally exhausted.
  • Sometimes, it looks like silence. Not everyone has the words to explain what they are feeling.
  • Sometimes, it looks like irritability. Small things may feel overwhelming, and patience may become difficult.
  • Sometimes, it looks like constant tiredness. Even simple everyday tasks can feel harder than usual.
  • Sometimes, it looks like losing interest. Things that once brought happiness may no longer feel enjoyable.
  • Sometimes, it looks like being busy all the time. Keeping occupied can sometimes make it harder to notice or express difficult feelings.
  • Sometimes, it looks like saying, “I'm fine.” A person may not know how to explain what they are going through, or may not feel ready to talk.
  • Someone can genuinely enjoy a moment and still experience depression. Smiling doesn't prove that everything is okay.
  • Being alone doesn't always mean wanting to be alone.
  • Sometimes, a person wants company but doesn't have the energy to explain their feelings or ask for support.
  • Functioning doesn't mean feeling okay.
  • Someone may continue meeting responsibilities while struggling with low mood, concentration, sleep, or motivation.
  • Sometimes, listening matters more than advice.
  • People don't always need to hear “Be strong” or “Think positively.” They may simply need someone who listens without judging.

Well explained.
Sad part is people at large are not comfortable talking about it or discussing mental health.
Immediate responses are always to shift away from the topic. Until we as a society are sincere towards mental health, how can we expect the person suffering from it to speak about it....
Just my opinion, please don't be offended. Not directed towards anyone. Its just that i have lost a close friend due to mental health.

Sometimes, the loudest laughter hides the heaviest silence. Be kind, listen without judging, and remember that not every pain knows how to speak. ❤️✨
