Kal was in the south section of the base searching the sleeping quarters whilst Vanessa continued to keep a close eye on the drill as it cut deeper and deeper into the moon. Meanwhile in the north section of the base, Sam moved cautiously through the corridors as he held his gun firmly in his hand, "I know you're around here somewhere Jack..." Said Sam quietly as the pipes creaked around him.
In the east section of the base Alexander had reached the ship and went inside as he searched for Jack, back at the south section of the base Kal had finished searching the sleeping quarters. "Hmm nobody here, I'll go check on my ship" thought Kal as he walked out of the room, a few minutes later Kal reached his ship and checked to see how the repairs were going, "looks like my ship will be ready to leave soon" said Kal.
Meanwhile in the control room Captain Cross and Doctor Rosewater were keeping an eye on thing's, moments later a communication came through. "Captain there's no sign of Jack here..." said Zari, "alright Zari I want you to head to the drill room and help Vanessa" said Captain Cross, " yes sir!" Said Zari, "Vanessa, Zari is coming to help you out" said Captain Cross.
"Ok Captain" said Vanessa, "Captain there's no sign of Jack in the north section" said Sam, "hmm ok, go and find Kal instead and make sure he's safe" said Captain Cross. "On my way sir" said Sam, "Captain Cross, Zari is here and I haven't seen Jack" said Vanessa, "hmm ok, Doctor Rosewater and I haven't seen Jack either" said Captain Cross as he looked at the monitors.
Meanwhile at the crews ship...
As Alexander continued to search the ship he heard a noise, "who's there?, show yourself!" Said Alexander, he stood there in silence but saw nothing. "Hmm maybe I'm imagining things..." Thought Alexander, moments later the ship doors suddenly were shut and locked, "what the hell!?, hey let me out of here" said Alexander, on the other side of the doors was Jack, symbols on his face and his eyes red.
A few moments later Jack ran away from the ship to safety as Alexander began to hear a countdown, "self destruct sequence activated, 10...9...8..." Said the ships computer. "What!?, get me out of here!" Shouted Alexander as he hammered his fists against the doors, "7...6...5..." Said the computer as it continued to count down, back in the control room Captain Cross and Doctor Rosewater saw a rise in energy.
"What's going on?" Said Doctor Rosewater, "there's a large build-up of energy in our ship's reactor core!" Said Captain Cross. "What how?" Said Doctor Rosewater. "Someone has activated the self destruct sequence!" Said Captain Cross, "can you shut it down?" Asked Doctor Rosewater, "no I can't, move out of the way please River" said Captain Cross as he moved one of the monitors.
"4...3...2.." said the computer as it kept counting down, "let me out!, let me out!" Screamed Alexander, "you must be able to do something!" Said River. "Activating base shield's, it should protect us from the explosion" said Captain Cross, "1...0..." Said the computer, then "BOOOOM!!"...the ships reactor core exploded and burst into flames, the explosion ripped through the ship and caused another quake.
"The shield's are holding..." Said Captain Cross as he and the crew members held on tight, a few minutes later thing's quietened down as the explosion stopped. "Alexander!" Said Doctor Rosewater, "damn it!, that's three crew members I've lost now..." Said Captain Cross, "it's not your fault Captain" said River, "thank you Doctor..." Said Captain Cross as he sat back in his chair.
Captain's Diary Entry 6: Chief Engineer Alexander Paladia deceased with honour's, our ship and our way back home is gone, we're stuck here. The bases shield's protected us from the explosion but we still sustained minimal damage, however the drill is still on track to reaching the coordinates and will penetrate our target area soon, I'll inform the rest of the crew of Alexander's death. End of Diary Entry.
Security Officer's Diary Entry 3: It's my fault Alexander is dead, I failed to keep an eye on Jack and turned my back on him. However I have found Kal like Captain Cross asked, I have to find Jack before he kills anyone else. End of Diary Entry.
Pilot's Diary Entry 2: Zari and I are safe and we managed to protect the drill from the explosion, the drill should reach it's destination soon as long as nothing interferes. Zari and I are heading to the control room to see the Captain. End of Diary Entry.
A short time later...
Captain Cross, Doctor Rosewater, Vanessa and Zari were in the control room talking about the incident when Sam and Kal entered the room. "I'm sorry about Alexander" said Kal, "thank you Kal" said Captain Cross, "Jack must be stopped!" Said Sam, "where is he?" Asked Vanessa, "I don't know I can't see him on any of the camera feeds" said Captain Cross, "he's around here somewhere.." said Zari.
"Alright let's get some rest, Sam, Kal and I will stay here, I want the three of you ladies to go to the sleeping quarters" said Captain Cross. "Be on your guard, Jack is still around somewhere..." Said Sam, "yes, split into two group's so Jack can't get one of us alone" said Captain Cross, "alright ladies let's go" said Said Doctor Rosewater, "I could do with the rest" said Vanessa, "me too" said Zari.
A short time later River, Vanessa and Zari reached the sleeping quarters and lay down on the beds whilst Captain Cross, Sam and Kal sit in their chairs around the computer station. "I wonder where Jack is..." Said Kal, "I don't know but I'm sure he'll come for us at some point..." Said Captain Cross, "when he does I'm gonna shoot him, whatever possessed him seems to have full control of him" said Sam.
Doctor River Rosewater's Diary Entry 1: I'm doing ok but the others clearly need some much needed rest, hopefully Jack doesn't come for us while we sleep. Whatever possessed him is pure evil and will stop at nothing to kill us all in any way it can. End of Diary Entry.
"I heard you lost your ship, I can take you back home in my ship if we survive all this" said Kal, "thank you, I appreciate that" said Captain Cross, "me too" said Sam. Half an hour later the crew had fallen asleep in their beds and chair's as Jack entered the drill room, moments later Jack increased the drill's speed a little, "I shall be free soon..." Said Jack and then he let out a sinister laugh.
The next day, 14:27 pm...
"Hey what's going on the drill has stopped..." Said Vanessa, "the drill has reached it's destination" said Captain Cross, "now what?" Said Sam, "I'm guessing someone goes down that hole" said Zari, "count me out I would prefer to stay here" said Doctor Rosewater, "I'll go!" Said Kal enthusiastically, "I'll go with him" said Sam, "alright but be careful, oh and put the space suits on, I'm not detecting any air down there" said Captain Cross.
A short time later everyone was in the drill room, they watched as Sam and Kal put on their space suits, "alright are you ready?" Asked Captain Cross as Sam picked up his gun. I'm ready!" Said Kal, "yeah so am I, let's do this!" Said Sam as he and Kal entered the special mining elevator, "good luck down there!" Said Vanessa as she smiled at Sam, "I'm always careful Vanessa, don't worry I'll be back before you know it" said Sam.
"Ok everyone see you soon" said Kal as Captain Cross activated the mining elevator.
