Several minutes had passed and Sam and Vanessa were waiting in the air lock room as Captain Erini's vessel docked with the base. A few moments or so later Captain Erini stepped out and greeted them, "welcome to sanctuary base alpha" said Sam, "welcome, how can we help you?" Asked Vanessa, "do you have defenses here?" Asked Erini, "yes the base is armed and has it's own shield's" said Sam.
"You must activate them immediately, the American Federation vessel wasn't far behind me" said Erini, "computer activate the bases shield's and weapons systems" said Vanessa. A moment later the base's shield's and weapon's were powered up and ready for action, "shield's and weapon's online Agent Vanessa" said the computer, "now what do we do?" Asked Erini, "we wait for the American Federation vessel to show up" said Sam.
Ten minutes later the alarm sounded, "RED ALERT, American Federation vessel detected Captain" said the computer, "what are we waiting for attack" said Erini. "Not yet, let's wait for them to get closer" said Vanessa, two and a half minutes later the American Federation vessel had moved closer towards the base, "computer open fire on the American Federation vessel" said Sam.
Moments later the turret's on the base locked onto the American Federation vessel and then opened fire, "BOOM!, KABOOM!". The base's weapon fire smashed against the American Federation vessel catching them by surprise and weakening their shield's, "multiple direct hits on the enemy vessel Captain" said the computer, the explosions sent a shockwave through the water.
"Computer divert all power from unnecessary systems to the shield's" said Sam, every room except the power room, canteen and the control had shut down as the power diverted to the shield's. Meanwhile on the American Federation vessel the Captain grew impatient with his crew, "what's wrong with you lot, I said open fire now!!" Said Captain Jackson angrily.
"Yes sir, firing weapons now" said a crewman, a few moments later the American Federation vessel fired the liberty cannon's. Seconds later the the liberty cannon's projectiles smashed against the base's shield's, "minimal damage to their shield's Captain" said the crewman, "we have orders from President Gasswind to do whatever it takes to capture that Atlantic Oceanic Alliance Captain!" Said Captain Jackson.
The American Federation vessel continued to fire at the base's shield's with minimum effect as the sanctuary base fired it's magna cannons. The energy blasts From the base's magna cannons smashed against the American Federation vessel and penetrated the shield's, "our shield's our down Captain" said the crewman, Captain Jackson became enraged then drew his gun and fired it.
Captain Jackson had shot the crewman in the head killing him instantly, "I'll do it myself.." he said, Captain Jackson activated the vessel's liberty torpedo system and prepared to fire. A few seconds later he fired the liberty torpedoes at the base, "BOOOM!", the liberty torpedoes smashed against the base's shield's damaging them, "shield's down to 77 percent Captain" said the computer.
"Computer activate the harmonic Delta turret's" said Sam, "harmonic Delta turret's activated Captain" said the computer. "I didn't know we had those harmonic Delta turret's" said Vanessa, "this mission we were on required powerful weapons to defend the base" said Sam, "we can't use the harmonic Delta turret's" said Vanessa, "why?, if we don't then well die here" said Sam.
"The harmonic Delta turret's are unpredictable, they could wipe out the entire sea life in the area" said Vanessa, "I didn't want to have to use them but we have no choice" said Sam. "I'll do it, I'll give the order to fire them" said Erini, Sam and Vanessa looked at each other and let Erini give the order, "computer fire the harmonic Delta turret's" said Erini, moments later the harmonic Delta turret's fired a barrage of energy blasts at the American Federation vessel.
"KABOOM!" the energy blasts blasted against the American Federation vessel severely damaging it, "systems failing, hull rupture detected" said the computer on board the American Federation vessel. "You Atlantic Oceanic Alliance bastard's!, the American Federation will hunt you down!" Shouted Captain Jackson as his vessel exploded, "computer fire the disintegrator cannon" said Sam.
Seconds later the base's disintegrator cannon fired a powerful beam at the American Federation vessel and vaporised it, "You're safe now Captain Erini" said Sam. "For now, but thank you for your help, I must get back to headquarters I tell them what happened here" said Erini, a short time later Captain Erini had boarded her vessel and left the base behind as Sam and Vanessa walked through the base's corridors.
"Let's get something to eat" said Sam, "yes let's go, I could do with a cold drink" said Vanessa as she and Sam walked towards the canteen.
