Honestly, I was so exhausted on my wedding night that all I wanted to do was take off my dress and heavy jewelry and just crash in bed. The whole day was a blur and by the end I didn’t have energy for much except maybe sharing a funny recap of the day with my husband. We just talked for a bit and then went straight to sleep, romantic, I know, but the tiredness was real.
It did feel kind of special to look at our diamond engagement rings together though, since they’re such a big part of the whole experience. I think those little details stick with you and make the night feel meaningful even if you’re too tired for anything fancy.
