So a few days ago one user was trying to scam me saying she has illness and asking for money and I did report her but I still see her account active.

U need to report the message not the user which makes a vast difference in the action

what he said, when you report just the name, it shows nothing just that you reported a person for whatever reason. If you report the MESSAGE, a SS of the message and the persons name will be sent to the system and we can effectively take action. This person is banned now.
