In some parts of the world, new scams are constantly being used to extort money. The biggest role in this sextortion is blackmail by showing sexually suggestive videos or video calls.According to a report, most of the calls come from India's Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh,Maharashtra,Kolkata, Bihar Jharkhand,Odisha,Tamil Nadu etc states. However, most of the video calls are through whatsapp, they get the call number from some agent of teli company, who do these scams, for money.Something to say about video call, they first talk to you nicely. will start then slowly start talking sexually, after you feel sexually excited they call 30-45 seconds video where they do all dirty things and gestures.then after the video ends suddenly your nude video or picture comes up where say Either you send so much money or else your video clip will be shared on all social media or it will be posted on YouTube. And they will ask for money with pictures of the video posted on YouTube. Even if you give money they will not shut up but the amount of money will increase. Finally, avoid these video call scams.Come on, especially the phone numbers given on this site are mostly scammers and if any unknown number messages you on whatsapp, don't talk to them. First verify the phone number on Truecaller app,if you see scam report against the phone number, block the phone number.Otherwise it's a scam You might as well.

Till date I have never received such a call and in fact I don't receive unknown numbers which are not in my contact list. And I am very careful in these aspects. Thanks a lot for alerting people like this...

its sad that this even needs to be posted. The older I get, the less "common" common sense has become. Its a good reminder though to those in the chat to remember this and NOT fall for it.

Hello and good evening bro. Thank you for this wonderful piece of information. I guess one way to avoid getting scammed is by using apps like Truecaller which identifies the mobile number. Though this is not a fool proof way but atleast one get's some protection.
