Today we had an unexpected downtime in indian chat server, which should not happen like this. But it happened by mistake.
Reason : one day back we moved to new server and our old and new server, both are using the same domain name ( indianchat.chatzozo.com ).
The new server cached the old server IP address in DNS to resolve, which was officially terminated by data center today when the new month billing period start over.
But, when our chat went for a restart like everyday, the cache for nginx server used to resolve the OLD server ip and made itself confused and thought the server is not running and the domain is not pointing to the proper domain.
I checked for logs and now everything is fixed and loading fine. This should not happen again, please let us know in future if you guys experience any downtime.
