Barrow one of the northernmost towns in Alaska has about two months of darkness in the winter, from about November 18 to January 22.

An almost neverending night, that does sound like a dream for me. A nice one. 
Wow, I wouldn't be able to live in a place like that because I'm not ready to spend a fortune on electricity. I have monocrystalline solar panels on my roof, so I don't have to pay electricity bills at all, and for me, that's a huge advantage. But in this area, these panels are absolutely useless, unfortunately.
