Honda has launched the 2021 CBR150R in Indonesia heavily updating the motorcycle cosmetically and with new features. While it does look like an interesting proposition and a worthy rival to the Yamaha R15 V3, the 2021 Honda CBR150R is unlikely to make its way to India. However, here is all that you need to know about the motorcycle.
All-new Styling
The new CBR150R gets a new design with styling cues borrowed from its bigger sibling, the CBR250RR making both the motorcycles look nearly the same. The front end is now sharper and comes with all-LED headlamp, while the fairing and upswept tail section are sleeker lending the new CBR150R an even more sporty character.
New Suspension Setup
Besides the new styling, Honda has also equipped the 2021 CBR150R with gold-finished upside down forks from Showa. These units are Showa’s premium SFF-BP seperate function big-piston forks also found on the extremely track focused Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R.

The 2021 Honda CBR150R also comes fitted with a new full-digital LCD instrument cluster and is offered in two variants- one with ABS and one without.
Slight Mechanical Changes
Powering the Honda CBR150R is a 149cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 17.3bhp and 14.4Nm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox. However, the motor now gets a slipper clutch which reduces lever action by 15 per cent as well as rear wheel hopping when downshifting aggressively.
