History behind Mukharjee Nagar

Do you know how Mukharjee Nagar Came in existence and why it we call Mukharjee why not other names ???

So lemme tell you the story behind Mukharjee Nagar The famous place in New Delhi. It's about 1947 when Pakistan was separated from India and Sindh was part of Pakistan that time and Sindhi were very rich person and the government of Pakistan was not agree to include them in Pakistan because they wanted to make a country of only Muslim people. So Sindhi were asked to leave country immediately so Sindhi people started running from there but there was no place to provide shelter them in India and then government started opening camp for them at many places.

In Jaipur we have SINDHI CAMP it's of the time of independence. Same like this at many places Sindhi camps were opened for sindhis but in Delhi there was no place to open camp so a guy named SHYAMA PRASAD MUKHARJI he was a politicians made a new society for them and it was named on name of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee as Mukharjee Nagar.

Mukharjee Nagar is the hub of IAS in New Delhi

Wow, behind the name Mukherjee Nagar lies such a significant history of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Sindhi refugees, I didn't know! Great information.
