Chat Info How to silence the new message noises.

You may have noticed that every time someone sends a message in the chatroom, you'll hear a noise. Similar to an iPhone sent message sound.

Well, until this is removed from the chatroom in due course. There is a workaround which is available for Google Chrome.
So without further ado, here's how to disabled the sound.

1. Open a new tab in Chrome and type: chrome://flags
2. You will be presented with a huge list, don't panic there's only one we need to change here! Scroll through the list until you find "Tab Audio Muting UI control" flag. (Its about half way down)
3. Press "Enable" underneath.
4. Reopen Chrome, there will be a big blue button at the bottom.

Now, when you sign back in. look at the chat tab for the speaker, click the speaker and it will mute.

Et Voila, no more pings!

Here's a bonus, it will only mute that tab and no others. So youtube isn't affected.
 
there is an easier way to, right click the tab and choose "mute tab" work in ff and chrome don't know about other browsers.
 
Mute tab works on a temporary basis, meaning if you close Chrome and go back in. the sound will come back. (I've tried it lol)

This is a permanent way.
 
if you right click on the chat - this frame - show only this frame you get the chat windows full screen too :D

All went well until i got to sign back in ..... what chat tab are we talking about i didn't see a speaker ?
